Maybe semi-cool ish Necron Ghost Ark Tactic
So I was thinking (dangerous, I know).
You can put 9 warriors in a ghost ark and join up a Lord w\ Phaeron (110pts, or 120 w\ a Scythe) and those puppies can shoot out of the ark their full 24" range after moving 6". That's 9 shots that glance any vehicle on a 6.
Might be not bad with Trazyn too, as he can stay in the ark and make it scoring while the warriors can get out and claim another objective (although, he's 175).
Total cost of idea. 117 (warriors) + 120 (lord) + 115 (ark) = 352
+ additional 55 for Trazyn, or + additional 30 for Orb Lord.

The more i see necrons in action, the more I hate facing large groups of foot necrons. Nothing more annoying than dropping 3x plasma templates on a unit only to have it still be @ 3/4 str at the end of the phase.
To me the arks are just free KPS and something for lascannons and ML to shoot at. You dont actually Want your warriors in combat, so your rarely going to move 12" forward with the ark, because you want to fire. Think about how many more warriors on foot you can have with that phaeron, moving 6" and shooting - if you didnt buy them a 115 pnt transport. You can have 19 warriors and 19x 24 inch shots. Or you can have an ark that IS going to get melta'd and 9 shots(14 if you count one side of guass on the ark), for roughly the same points. moving at the same functional speed.
The only way to reliably deal with Necrons is to Chase them off the board. so pimping out your Overlord to make people thing twice about assaulting seems a good choice (unless said assaulter has a Str10 DCCW:) )
I'de probably tool up the lord with Mindshackle as well, just to ward off monstrous creatures or Rock units. warscythe is nuts, don't leave home without it!
I was going to point out that taking an overlord instead of a Destroyer lord just for phaeron seems folly... but then i realized you dont get a Royal court for the DL... which changes things.

What I, and Necron Players in general, really need is the Court-Lord with a Scythe and no Orb. But Darren has no stock.
I'd grab 2 in a heartbeat. That guy is 45 points for a scythe you can't pick out of a unit. 60 points if you give him Mindshackle Scarabs. And you can have 2!
Amazing. Also, not worrying about Walkers tying up your unit is good.
The Ark, however, adds another AV 13 target. If a Necron Player has 2 Command Barges, 2 Triarch Stalkers, A ghost ark or two, and some Annihilation Barges, that's a lot of work for your Lascannons to do. It supports the foot unit rather well too.

Yeah, I agree. If you're gonna run AV13 stuff, might as well run a lot of it. One or two vehicles will get blasted, but 7 or 8? As soon as a stalker model becomes available it will open up a lot of lists for the Necron player.

Stalkers are intriguing.
I'm very much intrigued by the Particle Shredder gun. The concept of a S7 Large Blast gun that gives my army Twin-Linked for anything touched by that template is very appealing.
Also, in the AV 13 list, the C'Tan becomes a serious threat. Anything that can reliable wound the C'Tan has target priority issues. If that C'Tan is running around with some vehicles around him, providing Lord of Fire support, that creates a problem for players. On the assault, the C'Tan is quite the beast too. S3 troops cannot hurt the C'Tan at all, and some of his abilities are savage.
At 1500pts you can have 2 surfboard lords, 2 stalkers, a C'Tan, 2 ghost arks w\ Destro Crypteks, and 2 Annihilation Barges.
That's 8 AV 13 targets and a S7 monstrosity.

Still not convinced about the C'Tan. So slow and so expensive. If you want to make him shooty he becomes ridiculously expensive. Str 4 shooting can hurt him, so it's not like your opponent has to shoot heavy weapons to hurt him. Don't forget the default gun on the stalker is AP1. AP1!

With a Surfboard Lord in the mix, you don't need that much more anti-tank. I'd be tempted to take 1 of each. The Heat-Ray is *clearly* amazing.
Also having a S7 Ap4 Large Blast with the Twin-Linkage... so intriguing. You could always drop the C'Tan for another Annihilation Barge and 10 Tesla Immortals! (Huzzah)

I took a C'Tan against Mike on Friday, a 2000 pt game. He really made things tough for Mike, Killed a dread, that big chaos walker thing, popped a rhino, killed a lash-sorcerer guy, and finally lost his last wound assaulting a 10-man squad from the rhino he popped. He was ~245 pts with Lord of Fire and Time's Arrow (the pick a guy that has to make an initiative check or die).

Don't forget that C'tan have AP1 death throws. If a C'Tan dies in melee, it can be quite glorious.
