Soul grinder -Defiler project.

Mark was good enough to give me a Necron Cannon for my Soul grinder -> Defiler project.

Its not quite as deadly in this soul grinders hands, but makes for an intimidating Battle Cannon, at least i think so.

Model at this point is ready for priming, magnetized at the base, as well as at the shoulder where the cannon attaches, for easy transport and weapon destroyed results

Model is huge. Lets hope Defilers get better with the new book!

Agreed. I bet defilers will get a boost with the new book. Possibly a bump to AV13.

Scorpion project early stages. most of the pieces held together with sticky tack to see if i like the placement and look.

Awesome kit-bash. I'm not sold on the head tho, its just too.... flat..... for me. Maybe one of the defiler or Daemon prince heads instead? My opinion of course, and I have no idea if they'll even mount to it.

The head is the only thing that lacks pop for me, from what I'm seeing. Something bigger and meaner where that skull decal is, perhaps. Maybe some big auspecs-y stuff there instead? Aside from that, everything else looks solid. I love the laser orb.

Trying to stay strictly mech on this one. so no daemon heads or other odd stuff. once painted the decal face thats on there would just be done in metallics, brass probably. But, i get what your layin down. It might be better if i raised it up a bit.

Orb going to simulate battle cannon. Unless i come across something particularly stunning that fits that spot better. i ted to use a lot of blues and metallics when i paint, so it should fit right in.

Obliterator Cult Greater Daemon. Goes with the rest of the Zilla army above.

I find him a little top heavy. the model isnt, just the perception. Some more green stuff work to be done on the left arm. but i'm waiting on it to dry before going much further.

the fact that he flips his enemies the bird is just a bonus

Nah, i get what you're going for with the scorp. Might I suggest the defiler head w/ no mask? It's kinda techy.

I like the Oblit greater daemon, but I think it needs something. Bigger feet maybe?

had a change of heart.

considering CSM can no longer even take a greater daemon now. This guy gets re-purposed into a Daemon Engine. work in progress still, but mostly just touch ups and greenstuff left to do. fairly happy with him.

Hes going to end up the same colour scheme as my Obliterators, so the red will being getting painted over.

cant really see it here, but mawcannon can be used as ectoplasma cannon fairly convincingly.
