best over all

so, I would like to take a look at all the commanders that are avail in the 40k universe. whom over all is the best for points vs what he/she gives the ary or unit joined.

one of my favs is jacobus from the SOB list 90pts. allows you to re-roll your faith pts each turn, give the unit he is attached to +1 attack, feel no pain, righteous rage. I think that for 90 pts he is a very good hq choice.

seeing as I do not know all the hqs out there, what is your fav HQ for best for points

Chaos book, the only one worth taking is Kharn. Cuz he'll eat your face, and your squads, and hes cheap.

Special/Unique characters: For gameplay, Vulkan. Most fun HQ I've played. For fluff, Cypher. (BRING. HIM. BACK.)

Stand HQ: tie between Daemon Prince w/ Wings. (any flavour) and a Grey Knight GM w/ a Psycannon. There is something about your HQ walkng around w/ an assault cannon +1, Daemon-slayer:)

Anybody who has played my tau before knows about my love for Commander Farsight. Simply speaking, he gives my army the ability to take a 7 man crisis vet unit with all the bells and whistles. He has some flaws but he is undoubtably a favorite of mine. Plus getting favored enemy orks is also pretty fun.

Though to be perfectly honest my vote for best HQ choice would go for Asdrubael Vect from the Dark Eldar codex. While he costs 240 points, he was the first to offer the seize the initiative on a 4+ rule (and he can do it against orks. Suck it necrons! ) and his melee combat stats are amazing.

Abaddon is pretty devastating.

Honestly though, I'm having trouble thinking of a dude that could munch on anything without worry... Mephiston maybe?

The Space Wolf librarian (or rune priest, whatever) is pretty ridiculous for 100 points.
