Big 40K free-for-all, Dec. 11 or 18th

I wa thinking, since we didn't have a tourney in the month of December, we could have a free-for-all game on a Sunday.

I already talked to Darren, and he said there is no event planned on either of these days, so it's open if we have interested parties.

Here were my thoughts:

Odd number of people, I join. Even number, I sit out and help keep it organized. I was thinking limited to 4 players per side. Any more would be nuts.
All players bring 1000 points. 1 HQ, 0-2 Elites, Fast Attack, and Heavy Support. 2-6 troops.
We could do the 'good vs evil' thing or random sides.
We could do it just for fellowship or put up a litle money to make things interesting.

I know it's getting close to Xmas, but for some of us, that makes us less busy and more up for gaming.

What say you? Please add comments/ideas/criticism, but please leave out any 'this idea is stoopid' comments.

Are talking Apoc style or standard 40K w/ teams?

I'd be down to loan some terrain (like.... a Fortress of Redemption?) even if I can't make it.

I was thinking teams. As I posated, I am willing to take the hit if we get odd numbers, and jump in to make numbers even if we can.

My only concern is that I arrive, set up, and people who said they'd be there no-show. I guess that's the chance I'm taking.

I am going to phone the Den and book the table. Just to be on the safe side. If at least 1 person comes, then I guess I will have a one-on-one and if more come, it'll be bigger.
