Hey, if you've registered for Tooncon or plan on registering, can you post here or let me know.

I have no way of knowing how many people have registered. Plus, they still haven't updated the website with the relevant information I sent over. Might be a bit frustrating if any out of towners come and realize the painting requirement.

No, not at all. And you have to have a painted army for it.

The rules and information are in the Upcoming Events forum under Tooncon.

I spoke to the organizer and I guess we have 8 people registered so far. So thats good.

I believe they've slotted for 12 spots.. and may or may not have extra space depending how the other events are going.

I am seriously looking forward to this tournament.

Mostly the vets playing with fully painted armies, and Robyn is coming out of retirement to run it?

I just hope that jerk with the Deathwing doesn't show. He wins ALL the painting awards:)

j/k. I'll just be happy to have 1500 pts DONE. Finding time to paint is getting harder and harder.

And in his defense, his was one of 2 or 3 actually painted armies at those other tournies.

And he's showing up with his bugs this time! Mwa ha ha.

Im not sure what Paz is bringing for an army.. if he's got lots of new marines painted up or if he's bringing some daemons.

Ryan's Lamenter's are looking pretty damn awesome though... they'll prob be the army to beat.

Have you got them almost all done Ryan?

Trying really hard. Three children under 4 and I got 0 done over the weekend because Sara's family was in staying with us doesn't help much.

Left to do: 1 landraider, 1 rhino, 1 and 1/2 dreadnaught's, and finishing's on 10 marines. Everything has paint on it except a Dread. I should be able to paint every night this week and all day Saturday, so I should hopefully be able to finish but it just might kill me.

Uh oh., getting close. Time to lock the office door and start do it over lunch breaks. Or, just take some holidays and spend them painting! 3 days of holidays would be worth the $20 gift certificate you'd prob get.. right?

Speaking of which I have no idea what the prizes are giong to be like.. no idea at all. The tooncon guys just updated the website with the game info last week.. and I'm not sure how many people are going to end up being registered either. I'm sort of flying blind on this one.

I really, really hope there are some ok prizes.. Im hoping for at least average..

I shall be fielding daemons, but I've been madly painting up some new units. The big lady will make an appearance, but tzeentch and nurgle are going to make some surprise appearances!

@ Robyn: You mean we aren't paying for an all expenses paid Caribbean cruise? Awwww man, Erin is gonna be PISSED.

I'll at least get a "Participant" certificate right?

well my armies are well painted and bases are cocvered up. so where exactly do i regester. And i here the toon con toury would be a graet challang for a novice like me but then its like playing rune scape or wow the fastest way to gain xp is to finght thing with a higher leve then you. So in other words im gona get my ass kicked (like always) but gain experance that i do so need but last thuerday i did win killponit whise and dana dident show so dose trhat mean he forefits.
