A $20 dream come true....
So, a question for the floor...
If you found a $20 bill, or perhaps won $20 from a wager, what would you do with it? What kind of dreams would you make come true with those twenty cash bucks?
Me... I dunno. I do have $20 coming my way from defeating a fool who sought to challenge my knowledge of historical HBO drama's and I personally CAN'T WAIT to figure out what I should do with that cash. I mean, I could invest it. I could buy a beer or two on a Thursday evening. I could even buy a miniature to paint up for my collection. It seems to me that the only limit to what I can do with this newly found wealth truly is the limit of my own imagination.
And that's the real joy of found/won money isn't it! It truly has so many less "strings" attached to it vs. the kind of money we have to work so hard for every day to earn. See I often feel obligated with money earned through hard work that I mustspend it in some way that improves or maintains the quality of life for myself or my family. However money earned through my seemingly photographic knowledge of incestuos relationships as portrayed on cable network television shows really begs to be spent in a way that need not satisfy any greater responsibility.
So again, what would YOU do with $20? Would it make a difference to you if you won it in a bet? To me, I do think it makes a difference if the money was won in a wager.
As part of the conversation I plan on blogging the adventures I have with my $20 in this thread.

It can't buy a lot of whores, and even less cocaine. Therefore miniatures seems like a good choice.

When I first read the title of this post: "A $20 Dream Come True", I imagined and hoped for a story revolving around you (Scott), a $20 exchange, someone really dirty, and a dark alley or bathroom stall downtown.
I'm really disappointed......
ps your youtube link was NOT funny.

Re: A $20 dream come true....
hmmm.
$20....
-A 6 or 12 pack of a halfway decent beer (Moosehead/Sleeman for me)
-A decent pizza (but unfortunately no beer to go with it)
-A decent drive thru order for me and the wife (Simpson's reference, whoever gets it, gets a cookie)
-2 cheepo games and/or movies from Wal-Mart ("Madden 07? SWEET!!")
-20 tickets at Kinsmen Park (that'll make my daughters day)
hmmm mini wise.... that aint much. I'm guessing here.
-1 Lysander model- because every space marine player should convert him to something else at some point.

If I won 20$...
First thing that comes to mind is to take the girlfriend out to a movie... but nothing good has come out recently,
So I probably instead put it towards a dinner date.

Only if you go to the theater at Circle and 8th.
I took my wife to see Thor (no really, I didn't have to tie her up or anything) downtown and I almost choked.
2 tickets, a pop, and a bag of popcorn was north of $30, and that didn't include parking. (No it wasn't 3D either)

30$!!
For us, 10$ for fast food or 20$ for nicer dinner, then 8$ for movie (yes we do live near Circle Mall)

If I won $20 in a wager I would probably return it to the guy who lost the aforementioned bet since it likely wasn't a fair contest...

HHHMMMMM BEEEEEEER
Canadin Watch Transformers. Got the wife to watch it with me (And yes like roland I was shocked as well). A little more realistic you kinda get a real taste of what a real alien vs human war would be like... aka humans get =I=censor=I= kicked

Re: A $20 dream come true....
As a witness to this aformentioned wager on incestuous relationships occuring in a historical HBO drama, I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that both parties were very sure on thier interpretations that occurred in this historical HBO drama incestuous relationship. The contest was very fair.
Scott, maybe you could use you winnins on purchasing a beer (or two) and some kind of food item for this so called 'fool' on a Thursday night sometime. Or that would probably be too boring.

Re: A $20 dream come true....
Which HBO historical drama was this?
$20 .. awesome. Id go buy myself something I couldnt normaly justify buying without worrying about buying food for the baby.. but is something that I really, really need. Like a nice new Conan action figure, a shiny new Cap'n America shirt, or us it to pick up Dance of Dragons which weve been waiting too long for..

$20 probably won't be enough to get that gem on blueray though.. I wonder if he'll ever tell us what he did or if he's got his $20.
