Badab War Special Characters
so here's the 23 special characters available for you guys to pick from, each in his own reply.
NOTE: if you select any of the Chapter Masters in this list, you are not allowed to select a 2nd Chapter Master, Named or Generic; this is one of the rules all Chapter masters in IA9&10 have. dont ask me why, it just is.
Also, if you select any captains, you may select a command squad for him, just like normal captains. same goes for honor guard with the Chapter masters.

- Burning Wrath - In any CC he's involved in, Ashmantle can choose to forgoe his 4 attacks and instead use his Flamers to hit all models in base to base contact with him with a Str5 AP4 hit.

- Martial Contempt - in in B2B contact with an enemy IC, he must direct all his attacks at this model. if assaulting a squad with an IC, you must position him as close to B2B with the IC as possible.

- Living Legend - Allied Space Marines can always opt to use Huron's Leadership rather than their own while he is in play (modifiers apply to this as normal). An army featuring Lugft Huron can always re-roll failed attempts to steal the initiative at the start of the game where this rule is used.
- Shadowed Fate - The first time Huron is removed from play as a casualty for any reason, leave him on his side on the table. At the end of the turn where this has happened, roll a D6 and on a 2+ he surives with a single remaining wound, (this includes attacks causing instant death, and multiple wounds which remove him from play caused by a particular model's attacks, etc.) and is placed back in play as close to where he fell as possible. This special rule does not apply to any subsequent damage he takes after he has escaped death once in the game.
- The Big Guns Never Tire - Huron has the ability to use one Orbital Bombardment per game, as per a standard Space Marine Chapter Master as listed in the C:SM, but his strike is Ordinace 2.

- The Red Brethren - A single Lightning Claw-equipped Assault Terminator squad may be taken as a Troops choice. In addition any Space Marine infantry model in the army armed with a bolt gun may exchange it for a CCW for free.
- Chapter Tactics - all units gain furious charge. any unit that wins in close combat gains Rage; place a suitable marker beside these squads to denote this has occured.

- Mirage - This power is used at the start of the Librarian's Movement phase. The Librarian, any unit they are with and any vehicle they are being transported in are affected by this power for one full game turn. During this time, units protected by this power count as being equipped with defensive grenades and enemies wishing to shoot at them must do so as if Night Fighting rules were in effect.

In addition, at the beginning of his turn, by passing a psychic test Loth's 2+ armour save becomes a 2+ invulnerable save which lasts until the beginning of Loth's next turn. This counts as one of Loth's uses of a psychic power for that turn, but may not be negated by outside forces.

- Battle Alchemistry - both he and one Space Marine infantry squad in the army may upgrade their boltguns, bolt pistols or storm bolters to use specially modified Hellfire rounds at no cost. This means these weapons gain the Poisoned (2+) ability, though otherwise their weapon profiles remain unchanged. Which squad is selected for this upgrade must be noted down before the battle.
