Im definelty a fan of the plastic models that have been coming out of Games Workshop recently. These are pretty cool but maybe not as cool as some other DE stuff.

To be honest, none of the finecast stuff has really impressed me. There is a dropoff in quality, their costs go down, and their prices go up? That =I=censor=I= is wack yo!

Also, the fact that they did one sculpt. Your unit of 3 will look really sweet all in the same pose!

But this is really a bad paint job too. It might be more impressive if they had one of their guys go all out on it.

Yeah, looking at the grotesque picture closer.. it is a bad paint job.. Reminds me of the Beasts minotaurs a little bit.. with the light flesh colour, bulging muscles and then for whatever reason, the use of long lines over the muscles.. and is it me or do the hands look a bit oversized?
And yeah, its nice they put em out as a finecast.. so like you mentioned, one scult for the whole unit.. great.. and what is the price for one going to be up here in canada.. $30.. uck.
I dont know much about the DE codex, but I was reading that the majority of people who will take wracks, was if they were taken wioth a haemonculi and made troops.. becasue the elite slot is tight with alot of better options.. so if you want to do that, you have to buy a good chunk of em to make em useful as troops.. but good and expensive since they are resin. Does that sound about right? How are they both as unit choices anyway.. good/bad/meh?
That is a positive thing about the GK book.. the terminator and grey knight basic box account for the making of terminators, paladins, strike squads, purgation squads, purifiers, and interceptors squads.. thats alot of units from two plastic box sets.

So you're saying they made the Marine/Imperial army cheap and easy, and the Xenos/chaos choice expensive as hell? No, not GW?!
In all fairness, some of the models may look off, but in a year, GW has complete revamped the entire line. All new mini's, new codex, everything. My hat's off to them.
I didn't look that closely at the models, b/c I'm honestly not that into the whole haemonculi/grotesqu/wrack/talos aspect of DE. I like my evil space elves fast, sexy, drugged up and as tough as a kitten. Sorta like little plastic pornstars.
Tyson plays em like you are talking, kinda. I feel bad for anyone who isn't playing warrior/wych/raider DE, because it's like GK *USED* to be. All the same poses and expensive to boot.

im just excited that the razorwing is cheaper than a ravager. i got the latest white dwarf, and the grotesques look alot better from a different angle. i wont be getting any, just converting, as each talos/crosos kit has all the parts i need. on a side note, anyone know how to get 4-6 of the plastic rat ogres from islanf of blood, without buying a bunch of starter boxes?

There's usually tons on eBay, or you could try posting on the local fantasy sight for Rat Ogres. I don't think they're that great game wise so tons of people are buying IoB box sets and trading off rat ogres I believe.
