New Prices starting in June 2011
I'm just posting the prices that changed; if its not on this list, the price hasn't been altered
As you can see, they're trying to standardize some of the prices; mid-sized tanks are now all $59.50, and large-sized tanks are $79.25. And so much for battleforce kits all being the same price and being an affordable way to start a new army. They really should drop those to only $90 a set, since they usually throw something useless no one ever fields in each box, and then its also affordable for new players and doesn't make them go "hell with that, 40k is too expensive to get into."

Re: New Prices starting in June 2011
This, and almost all of the current metal mini's that will now be coming out in resin has a price jump.
Their pricing schemes have no f@cking rhyme or reason.. alot of these price hikes are about 10% or higher.. that's pretty =I=censor=I= big.. considering they've been rolling them out like this for awhile.
And like you said.. there's is almost 0 savings in buying a battleforce box. What do you save off them now.. like.. $5 over if you buy it separate.. there should always be suitable savings when you buy more, especially a "club" pack like the battleforce. Here you go, buy this big pack of stuff and you save what.. like 3-4% if you buy individually.. Oooo.. 3% !!!!!!!
Now, excuse me because I have to go buy more grey knight stuff.. I am obviously insane.. *sigh*

yep. i got the price changes for the first set of new 40k resin models, but its in GBP, and i was hesitant to post that in case the dollar value on the currency exchange rate sets it weird.
Re: New Prices starting in June 2011
I was passing some time last night, looking thru my old White Dwarfs... I was looking for a conversion tutorial I think, and ran across the old ads from when CoD dropped, When the plastic termies came out, all that (and from the way WAY back machine... WD 248 when the OLD ork codex dropped. I didn't even KNOW my wife when that one came out.). Anyways from that WD 248 to around 320 or so (about 6-7 YEARS. There were almost NO price increases. A few here or there, mostly on blister, but NOTHING major.
When I started playing in the WAY back of 2005, a Tactical Squad was $30US, it's up to $37.25 before the price increase. My math-fu can be weak, but that's about a 25% increase right? It's been worse on metal and WAY worse if you are buying in Canada. Look I realize GW is in it to make money, but they are so busy squeezing pennies out of nickels, they are missing DOLLARS. They want to make th models, and would obviously prefer if you'd order from them online or buy from them retail (because then they make full MSRP, rather than just the wholesale.) From that blowhard CEO's statement, he obviously feels GW hobby centers are the epicenter of the hobby and that online retailers (themselves excluded) are evil. Here's an idea GW. Your hobby centers are a joke. 16-man operations can apparently get your models into Australia, South America and Canada better than you can. Why don't you let them do your job for you? They do it better, and you aren't out the overhead so you can lower costs, AND lower prices, and increase profit. Hell maybe you can even hire an editor and proofreader for your games development ppl.
Let's count the ways GW managed to piss off their customers in just the last 7-days....
1) A lockdown on rumors and leaks, thereby killing any excitement for players who are waiting for their codex/army book to be updated.
2) A price increase... for only what, the 4th time in 4 years?
3) Releasing resin models touting about how it's because metal has gotten too expensive... only to raise the prices on all of them saying "It's better quality".
4) A trade embargo, which basically is pricing to regions (South America and Australia) out of the market.
Look, I love the fluff and models and the games and all.... but GW's business model looks like something a monkey threw against a wall at the zoo.

Yeah those battleforce box sets are a joke now. Considering how each one has a useless unit. At least the useless models used to be free. And what's with the price hike on those terrain pieces? Like a 33% jump!?

at the very least; when they released, aegis were only 18, and the landing pads around 27, and a bastion at 33.
Re: New Prices starting in June 2011
was reading around. the new resins are NEW mold from the original masters. Some formerly single pc models are (supposedly) multi-part.

by the looks of it, I should just make a forgeworld army, and spend the extra 10%.
