40k History and Classic Models
I've been collecting old codices, rogue trader models, books, and other interesting 40k stuff.
Just wondering if anyone has any info or personal stories involving 40k's history or if anyone has any cool classic models or books?

Re: 40k History and Classic Models
I know Andrew has a full chaos army built from classic models. The old chaos dreadnaught is actually better than the current one. He's also got old berserkers, plague marines and raptors. Looks pretty cool.
I have a whole bunch of the first plastic imperial guardsmen and some early sentinels. Ive also got an old bike and landspeeder hiding somewhere. Thats about it for what Ive got though. I haven't been playing the game for to long compared to ther people. I only started about, oh.. 5-6 years ago.

Re: 40k History and Classic Models
I started playing 40k during the 2nd Edition. From that era I have a fully painted all metal Tallarn Imperial Guard Army (updated to 4th ed) with 2nd Ed Rulebook, Guard , Space Wolves, and Blood Angles codex's.
My favourite piece of fluff I own is my Imperial Guard Infantryman's Uplifting Primer. Which is basically a survival guide for a lowly guardsman.
As well I have 3 epic armies from old edition.
Dragons Den has some very cool looking 40k books based on the Eye of Terror campaign and the 5th? Crusade. I flipped through them the other day and was quite impressed. They're hidden in with the Battle Tech stuff though.

Cool, that chaos army or tallaran army would be nice to see, or play against sometime.
One of the reasons i started this topic is because i recently came across a book of rules called Little Wars which was written by H G Wells. In it, it has information on different types of figures and different abilitys they have. It also goes over movement, morale, and combat. It's considered by some to be the first modern tabletop wargame. what i find most interesting is that it was published in 1913.
I also have a really really cool piece of 40k history
Before Titans were ever produced by GW they were made by Mike Biasi Studios and then later by Armourcast. When Mike Biasi first wanted to produce Titans he first needed to get a license from GW to do so. To get his license he first made models of Reaver and Warhound Titans, then sent pictures of these to GW. They gave him his license and he remolded the models and then begain to produce and sell them...
I bought yesterday the second Reaver Titan ever made by Mike Biasi and what is probably the second Warhound Titan ever made by him. They may not be as detailed as the new Titan models but their history is much more detailed.
