Okay, so I have an idea for a walker of sorts, and I was wondering if you guys had any info about sources of mechanical legs or ideas. I want it to look at home in a Guard army, but not spindly looking like the Sentinel legs. Almost like an "uncorrupted" version of the Defiler, but with fewer legs.

Maybe check out what Forge World has to offer. Otherwise the only things I can think of (besides sentinal legs) is filing off the chaos-y stuff from the defiler legs or SM Dreadnought legs (they're really squat though)

Forgeworld doesn't seem to have what I'm looking for, and I would rather not spend $75 on a Defiler and have a bunch of Chaos parts corrupting my bits box. Also, at that price these conversions would become WAY too expensive. I was thinking maybe you knew of some other miniature sites that had something similar to what I was looking for.

Okay so this is actually pretty close to what I was thinking about. I found this on a forums for 3D animators. Anyone know of anything similar in the world of miniatures? It needs to be around the size of a Defiler or Leman Russ, if possible.

Is this going to be a one off type of thing for apoc or something? I second the vote that a defiler would be your best bet

Hmmm.... Either I'm gonna have to go with the Defiler, or I'm gonna have to make the whole thing from scratch and then make a mould out of it.... Anyone got some pics of a Defiler's legs and lower chassis (if you can call it that)?

I think MaxMini makes a walker version of a rhino or chimera or some =I=censor=I= like that. Check 'em out. I've had good service from them.

So it seems my searching for what I need has come to a fruitless end. I figure instead of keeping my plans hidden I should just let you all know so you can possibly help in my search. What I had planned on doing, if you didn't guess already, was mounting the Earthshaker or similar cannon on a set of legs, making my own version of the Basilisk or some such engine of war. The walker version would have all the same rules as the tracked one, due to the weight of armour and the stabilization systems, but it would look unique, which is awesome. I was hoping to find something less than $75 for a Defiler, but I couldn't seem to find anything. I did look at Ebay, but that would be kind of annoying to try and get more than 1 set of legs and chassis.

Check the Warstore.com. they break up plastic kits and sell them by sprues or pieces. I've ordered from them a few times and always had good service.
