Another hobby question
I am wanting to paint very fine pitch words on my sanguinary guards "ribbons" that they have adorning their armor. Any hints on how I can do this?

Re: Another hobby question
I always use a very fine-tipped brush with either black or some kind of brown paint for the text (whatever looks better or preference).
But I have also heard of some that use micro pens for small stuff like this and 'eye dots'.

Where would I get a micro pen from? I never heard of those before.
But I used a fine brush and pretty watered down black paint and it took pretty good. Wondering if a micro pen would do any better. Maybe less "sloppy" looking?

I've never used a micro pen myself. I think you can get them at any dedicated art supply store. Maybe calling some places in advance and asking about them is the best bet. I don't know of anyone around here using one, but maybe someone will speak up.

I've usually just used a brush and watered down the paint a bit.
You can get the pens at any art store, and actually even alot of stationary departments.. the standard ones are usually the pigmas, and you can get them down to as small as a .2 mm.

Pens are for the weak!
Thin paint, steady hand and a good point on the brush. I also reccomend taking the colour you used for the parchment or whatever the writing is on and thinning it down quite a bit. like 4:1 or so with water:paint. Then take a little bit of that paint and brush it over the writing. It'll look more natural that way.
