+++ IMPORTANT 40K NEWS +++

I picked up the new issue of PC gamer today, because it was simply put, the Warhammer issue. They had sneak peeks of Dawn of War 2, discussions on old games, Warhammer Online coming out this year but the most important thing in the the entire magazine.....
... an entire page dedicated to some Q & A with the director and manager of the upcoming Warhammer 40K online... Ooo, oooo, ooo.... *giggle* YES, 40K online... and teased you might be able to drive vehicles... Oooooo... I sure hope I cna be a Khorne beserker and drive a landraider around.. I just peed myself again... really... I seriously did.. thats the third tonight since I read the article.
This will be good, since Ill probably just be getting a little bored with COnan online in the 3 years it will take to get here.

ooooh gawwwwdddddd... this cant be happening, do they know what kind of monster they would create? Like i have time for 40k, let alone online....

I dunno.....having to kill yourself to sait your bloodlust might make your life a bit short....but if you wanna be a crazy marine....have fun.
However, the concept could be cool. I can see them doing an imperial armies (players) vs. everyone else scenerio and depending on what you chose, you will be involved in different campaigns. Plus, this way it leaves it open to expansions in the future. You know....a Tyranid invasion with new enemies and worlds to explore. The Tau/Elder expansionas....having a new factions that you can play.
Plus, the Space Marines would lend themselves nicely to guild/chapter formation. As well, Space marine tend to form smaller RAIDING parties compared to the legions of Imperial guard troops. As well, Chapters/guilds could get together to buy various vehicles to assist them on their raids.
Ya.....I can see it now.....Start out as a Scout, progress to a Space Marine, then become a Veteran. From there, you could end up as a Terminator, a Librarian, a Company Master, or a Chaplin...or perhaps you will end up as a Dreadnought, but I can see this being a "special" expansion.....yup, that is what I can see happening.

The game (and keep in mind this is early, early news form the director) will focus alot around missions and completing missions. From the way they described it, it sounded alot like D&D online. There would be missions for groups of various sizes of course.

Oh man, this sounds really exciting. Chaos would be awsome. Khorne could do the cc dps, you could have plague marine tanks, noise marines and thousand sons for ranged dps. Chaos sorcerers who could summon demons, man the possibilities are endless. I really hope they do a shit job and totally f it up, otherwise no one will ever see me again.

I don't want to sound like a one upper but they had a rumour back when they were giving previews of dawn of war dark crusade. there wasn't any details yet but they announced that games workshop gave Relic the liscencing for all their games. In that annoucement they said in the next couple years they would start developement on a 40k online game. the news i read was from gamespot i am pretty sure. I'll take a look and maybe i can find it.

Well, this was a rumour at all, this was a Q&A with the director and manager and in PC Gamer. No rumours, it's being worked on and they were talking about ideas, etc. And yes, we did hear about this a long time ago, but it was a vague whisper of a rumour, the kind you have to believe is to good to be true.
Now, the only thing that has to happen if for it to be released. We all know how good intenrtioned these computer companies are when they start a project.... it just takes 5 years to finish. Look at Warhammer online. It's finally coming out.. and because it's been like 10 years in the works, the graphics look worse then WoW.
