Trygon & Base Empty Trygon & Base

So I have three trygons (or will be getting), and since I don't want my army to look boring, I'll be converting two of them to be fairly different from each other.

However, I would like to keep the original pose for just the one. At the same time, I do not want to mount him on a base because he looks extremely... bad... on his base in his default pose. Even decorated, I think Trygons look better if they are just the way they are.

Since his tail is curled around him in a "base-like" fashion, I figured that would be good enough for BTB contact; similarily, measuring to his tail in terms of calculating distances. This does make him a bit smaller displacement-wise than a normal Trygon; if that becomes a problem, a one inch buffer zone around his tail could be used (since that's about how much the base adds)

So my question is, would you guys be fine if a Trygon was not mounted on a base but instead just allowed to use his tail, or the one inch buffer, instead?

(Same thing goes for the Mawloc, but since I absolutely detest that mouth... they'll be modeled as Trygons Razz )

I doubt I'd really have much of a problem with it, but I'm sure most people are case by case. I know tourny wise you need to have the correct base.

If I were to end up in a tournament I would ask the TO. If not, he could be temporarily attached to his base.

BTW Caros, are you adam, the dude with the silver/blue marines?

My recommendation is to just always bring the base with you. If someone makes a fuss, set the trygon on the base. The model is stable enough that it can 'stand' on it anways. Problem solved. =)

Yup. That's me.

magnetize it, friendly games it can look cool, tournaments it can be legal, however with the amount of tournaments available to this area just saying w/e =I=censor=I= it would probably be ok
