Berzerkers

Hey guys i just have a quick question about berzerkers..
Someone told me that they have to be painted all Red and Trimed with yellow or gold..
Well i dont own copyright but i took a pic of a page in the codez of berzerkers that are BLACK but they have their head and one arm plate painted red and gold so does just one part on them have to be painted that color or the hole model???

to go with the fluff they should have some red on them, because the World Eaters are the only legion to ever create berzerkers. (i think)

pascal will probably correct me on this, but i will try anyway, yes the world eaters created zerkers but the world eaters organization fell apart a long time ago now they are just a bunch of random war bands.

we'll never know the answer until paz shows up.....

coluor scheme does not matter

colours do not need to follow what is in the codex or fluff. As long as you have the models represented the colour could be anything you can dream of. Fluff and actual armies do not legally have to relate.

Khorne Berzerkers are frothing madmen who thirst for bloodshed and to take the skulls of their opponents. Though the original source for Berzerkers were the World Eaters, there are Chaos Space Marines from other legions that have become Berzerkers as well after dedicating themselves to Khorne. Most Berzerkers are either part of the World Eaters or the Black Legion.

So if that's accurate, fluffwise you could paint them the same colours as whatever legion/group you're doing, and not have to do worldeater colours.

Definately doesn't matter what color you paint anything, I've seen pink Necrons FFS, also I'm painting my Tzeentch red so do whatever you want and settle disputes in the parking lot, that's what I always say.

Yep, any color is good. You're on the money Ben. Angron was the first official berserker, as he had gladiator implants forced on him at a young age, before the emperor found him. He then, against the Emperor's will, started implanting these aggression devices on his legion. After The heresy, the Emperor's children and the world eaters were fighting for a planet called Skalathrax. Kharn caused the legion to fracture into small warbands, so many berserkers have joined other legions and rogue bands.

You never have to paint an army a specific color, paint them however you like.

The only exception that might be argued (if strict WYSIWYG is enforced) is the Red Paint Job the orks get

You can paint your models however you like.

The story line does say what colours belong to certan factions, but staying true to that doesnt matter.
