Nid'bits....
Hey all,
I stumbled upon some new Nid rumors.....no idea how reliable they are....
--> Genestealers = Elites. However, Broodlord HQ makes them Troops.....probably like the Warboss rule for Nobs
--> Warriors = ?? (but I am guessing Elites). However, Hive Tyrant makes them TROOPS!!!! yikes.....all Tyrants and Warriors armies....could be fun.
--> Gaunts = 3 points, Hormaguants = 6 points. they are trying to push the Horde side of Nids
--> Alpha Lictor?? No idea what this is supposed to be
--> New Psychic powers

Oh ya.....I missed these ones
--> All Gaunts come with "Without Number"
--> Hormagaunts can buy "Without Number"
Oh good....a Horde army that just keeps coming back.....

Re: Nid'bits....
Good to hear.. these initial tidbits are really promising.
I love the idea of warriors as troops. 3 point gaunts and 6 hormaguants are definitely needed to be in line with the other horde type lists.
Id be pretty dame scared if a couple hundred hormagaunts lined up in front of me.

Not to mention if they all had Without Number!!! lol....
Why do I have a feeling that we will see a line of synapse creatures from his deployment to frontline to become standard formation for a Nid player?

Re: Nid'bits....
read this on BoLS today
Pyrovore: (rumored to be a fire-based biovore variant giving the nids a strong indirect fire option)
Toxathrope: (probably the bug above, and sounding like a minor variant of a malanthrope/zoanthrope based on its name, size, and appearance)
Trygon: (the big guy himself, but still no word of whether its in the codex, or Apocalypse only)
with a pic of a new creature

Re: Nid'bits....
One of the funniest things was in the comments on BOLS regard to this post.
I believe the guy wrote something along these lines:
Pyrovore, how original.. I can play this game!
Boltothrope - A Zoanthrope that shoots bolter rounds from it's mouth.
I dont know why, I found that damn funny. I really hope they'd create better minis thatthe current biovores.. those things are god awful ugly and look completely out of place in the nid line. They are pure garbage.
I think the new model here looks pretty cool though.

Re: Nid'bits....
The model in the picture is supposedly the new Venomthrope (Toxathrope in German, as per the original)
Plastic gargoyles are almost 100% confirmed. Not to mention it would be bloody stupid for GW not to release them as plastic kits. Metal models on a flying base? No thanks.
The Trygon is ubiquitously confirmed for the new codex.
Termagants and Hormagaunts have been split up into different boxes, probably 8-12 each. US MSRP is around $24 per box (more price hikes, yay...). Expect Canadians to pay even more because of the outdated exchange rates GW uses.
I had an entire product list stolen from DakkaDakka and Warseer complete with MSRPs and product names, but I can't find it. If I stumble upon it I'll post it.

This one has been debunked, and as such, I won't believe it until I have the print copy of the codex sitting in front of me.Genestealers = Elites. However, Broodlord HQ makes them Troops.....probably like the Warboss rule for Nobs
