So, sorry for the delay in getting the list pf prizes ready, I'm waiting to hear back from the Den what we havce to work with. When I get that, which I'm assuming went to my work email.. so Monday.. Tyson and Joe will get there prizes, we'll have a few door prize amounts and we'll be ready for the next league.

The next league will start Wed. Oct 14th. We're going to stay with the X-Cam type format... so you'll have to earn your Recon points before you can pay for your Strategic games. THere's a sign-up sheet at the den for the new league.

Gluvzer brought up the idea about potentially having a small point tournie on a Friday as a type of league kick-off. It'll probably be 3-4 games, around 500-750 points and will use our recon list rules. You'll get standard league recon points for your games, plus the winners will get a bonus and a prize. We'll probably have a $10 entry so we can hand out some prizes. Now, this is just to plant a little seed, but I havent talked to Ryan or the den about it yet so right now it's still unofficial and just yapping.

But what about the people who don't play with those 4 very particular units listed on the site? I'd much more enjoy the recon tournament.

Yup, we wouldn't be able to run an event like that for a kick-off to the league.

If you ever wanted to do something like that for a fridya night event or something, by all means.. definitely do it!

if it is this friday I'll be in BC if it is next I might be able to make it , as long as I get the wedding cake made in time for my brother in law's wedding.

Ya a little tourney on a friday won't work for me until spring(except this friday). I've got basketball practice on friday's and i'm on the road with my parents for there work. Maybe if the tournie could be a thursday or beginning of week that would be great.

Definately no chance running a tourny on a week night. Not enough time. If booked on a Friday night the Den will let us stay untill midnight, or you're looking at a Saturday or Sunday.

Make the plan for the friday before the league begins. If people can't make it, that sucks, but it's only a game. (Make sure enough people can make it to ensure it is fun though).

A friday would work, but if you went on a weekend you could start like 1 and be done mid evening.
