Re: how 2 use a pin vice
Drill a hole on one side with it, put in your brass rod or pin or whatever, put a dab of paint on the end of the pin, touch it to the other piece where it would attach, drill where the dab of paint is.

Youve got yourself a small pin drill, like ther Gw one or similar?
It takes quite a bit of pressure to get the hole drilled.. just keep pushing hard and turning at the same time. You have to also a fairly new bit, one thats sharp enough to0 grab onto the metal. The GW is really good in the that there's a bolt on the end that will spin.. so you put pressure and turn it, but you dont have to turn your whole wrist.. if that makes sense.
If your still having a hard time, to a quick search on "how to pin miniatures" and you should find a couple good guides. You dont have to go that deep at all.. just a bit on each side of the piece your pinning. If you dont any rod, you can always paper clips to clipped to length.. they work perfectly fine.

Also if you run out of verbs, you can draw cool action pictures instead!
