I had a huge in depth unit analysis I was going to post, but when I was an hour into posting it my cat decided it would be funny to jump on my keyboard. You'll have to deal with this much more succent version. So here is a quick breakdown of what I took and why.

Draigo got a little better in 7th, with having access to different powers. Some of them are just silly (draigo with precognition, draigo and company with invis, etc), but barring rolling one of the insano powers (and GK not having access to biomancy) a small buff. He still suffers from the ap3 of his weapon from 6th edtion so he tends to get stuck on anything with a 2+ save.

Purifiers are the bee's knees now. Being able to score without the Crowe tax is awesome (even if they don't have OS). The change to their psychic power is meh. I think you can get up to way more fun now with the new nova power. Especially since you don't need LoS! anymore!

Strike squads stayed mostly the same. The psychic powers are less likely to go off, but then again Heldrakes are less popular now so that is something. (In the game Mark and I played the changes to Heldrakes make them way less scary. Being able to try and outmaneuver them or force them to hover and not being able to just shoot wherever they want is going to game changing. People have to think way harder to get the same mileage now).

Razorbacks (and all troop DT) are amazeballs now. I will probably be fielding them every game. I scored two objectives vs Mark because I had a razorback parked on them shooting heavy bolters every turn. Was awesome. Also less chance to just randomly explode means you'll generally be able to tell when they are going to die now.

Interceptor squad is in the same boat as Purifiers. Way more likely to take them since they score/contest unless you're fighting something with OS.

Stormraven is in for a couple of reasons. One, fliers can still be a pain in the butt. Heldrakes might be less scary overall, but having a dedicated unit able to fight them is nice. Two, flying transports are still good IMO especially if we start playing maelstrom missions the ability to redeploy quickly is nice. Three the ability to drop into hover and score? Yes please! And lastly brings a lot of decent fire-power to the table. I'm waiting to see if they re-FAQ the anti-psyker missiles. If they do they'll help shut down buff psykers as well.

The dreadknight. A model I want to love, but he is so overcosted. He's in their just becuase I have a converted model I like using. He is decent since he scores now and can still punch people in the face with the best of them. But a T6 W4 model with only a 2+/5++ doesn't cut it these days. It either has to be tougher like the wraithknight or have better saves like the riptide. And unless they FAQ it he can no longer use the greatsword and his fists in the same round of combat.
