Stupid Diablo III....

New expansion is cutting into my painting time. My 33% complete helbrute is looking rather sad.

I'm trying to stay as far away as possible.

Although since the new DAIII is coming out in the fall I've been recreating all my old save games by playing through again. Such a good game (mostly origins). And amazing at killing time.

Did you start up a Crusader or dive straight into Act V, Mark?

I share everyone's pain. Started a Crusader, played through a new game, and almost at lv 70 now!

*Note: I do have D3... got it free when I signed up for a year sub to WoW back when D3 was first released. Played up to lvl 45 witch doc, and haven't really played since. Too repetitive for my tastes.

I've been loving my Crusader, been lv 70 for a few days and have even been lucky enough to get a few lv 70 legendary drops. I can rock Torment I but anything higher than that gets a little tedious.

P.S. Hearthstone is also awesome!

I'm with tom though, when DA3 hits, i'll probably lose a few months. i liked origins more than DA2, but both were playable. origins had more replay value for me, repetition in 2 killed it eventually.

Actually spent more time installing mods for that game than actually playing kinda like skyrim

I like a lot of the "old school" RPG mechanics in origins. Things like maces have more armor pen, but less chance to crit. That kind of stuff makes the game more "real".

I don't understand how the same company could put out both games. Just in general levels of quality two is really lacking.

They over simplified DA2 cause there was a lot of commentary in research surveys pre-development that people found the fight mechanics overly complicated. Remember, they have a much larger demographic half our ages to cater to, who aren't as experienced in RPG mechanics and can absorb everything DA:O allowed you to do

Jordon and I have been hitting up adventure mode pretty hard in D3. My wiz still seems awesome at lvl 70. So tough! The rerolling stats is kind of dumb but I love the transmorg.
