Q: How do I determine the Arc of Sight for a Heldrake’s ranged
weapon? (p52)
A: Treat the Heldrake’s ranged weapon as a Turret Mounted
Weapon, measuring all ranges from the edge of the Heldrake’s
base nearest to the target unit.

Ouch! No longer can one hide from the fury of Heldrakes apparently.

Q: Can a Flyer or Flying Monstrous Creature Leave Combat
Airspace on the same turn that it entered play from
Reserves/Ongoing Reserves? (p49/81)
A: No – the owning player must deploy and move their Flyer
or Flying Monstrous Creature in such a way that this does
not happen.


Q: Can the rider of a Chariot that is also a Skimmer make Sweep
Attacks against Zooming Flyers or Swooping Flying Monstrous
Creatures? (p82).
A: No.
Q: If a Chariot is in combat with an enemy unit, can models from
that unit direct attacks against the chariot itself? (p82)
A: Yes.
Q: If a Chariot is Wrecked or suffers an Explodes! result in close

Awesome. The Heldrake one is massive. The biggest problem i have with the Heldrake.is figurong out how to vector strike then burn something else. This will make it much easier.

That is nice noise marines can take a BM at 5.

when i read that... i started scrolling down hoping that CSM sqauds were going to get the same treatment as DA tacticals and get 1 special or heavy per 5 too. .. but it never happened. and then i had some coffee and woke up from my dream.

So Now, if you charge a Necron Chariot, do you hit rear armor, and then if he is surrounded, and you glance it down, does the necron Lord die to placement issues?

Also, Great for Kharn AND Noise Marines!!!

Those are probably my fave units in the new Dex

All the reviews ive read about the Dark Angel codex takes.a small point to mention how dissapointing.it makes.the Chaos codex look.

There are so many simple things that could be done to make it so much funner. Chaos lords with terminator armour or jimp packs unlocking units of terms and raptors as.troops (or even just one like the warboss).

Thats actually my biggest beef right now after a chunk of.games.. Scoring options. Ive been taking a nurgle and khorne lord and a unit of berseekers and plague.marines in landraiders. Berserkers seem scary mounted in a landraider with a big.charge zone, but they let me down every game. The assault is either sub par or they just die quickly to shooting after the assaults done.

Plague marines are great, cultists are awesome for their 50 points, landraiders (2 of em) usually have one making.itmto the end and after my games have found they serve well as anti air. The star of course is the jeldrake. Cant say enough good stiff about it. Ive been tempted.to.get another because.of.how great they are.. But uve also been tempted.to.go the similar route of mkke and up a vendetta.

Grumble, grumble, whine, whine.

I think i need a new army. I have grey knights.. Which i dont enjoy playing. I have chaos, which i love and while the new book was dissapointing overall, i dont mind the changes but.its.getting.boring.fast.

Ive got imperial guard but its.ramshackle.and all over the place. That leaves me with daemons right now.. Which i do enjoy.playing for the bizarreness.. But im wondering if its time to refocus onto guard.

Ive been so lazy.lately though modelling/paint wise.. I just want to play with my.old stuff. Smile

I'm going the opposite way, i have the vendetta and i'm getting Drakes. (well, i'm getting hell talons and i'm going to put an underslung Flamer and Scythe blade on them. hah.) with some magnets i'll be able to field them as talons if i want some flying reapers at any time.

I'm stoked about the noise marine change... except that i have to paint/field noise marines... all mine are from 3rd edition, so metal hell. the 124/129 point 5 man blast master squad is pretty cool.

Eldar of some flavor Robin. that way you can buy two armies. the one you get now, and a new one when the codex comes out next November.

If, in an emergency disembarkation, a model can't be placed, it's removed from play. Ouch, don't die on your chariot.

hmm yes. 10 man unit maybe. save the tax from champ and rhino.

i find it funny that they FAQ'd the Noise champ to have a CCW. i imagine that anyone giving this guy a power weapon before today was a BIG CHEATER. because he didn't have a CCW to trade for it.

you can also trade in the bolt pistol, so bolter/lightning claw was the way to go

Now you can power sword/pistol/bolter

How many points is that? ... 302pts? That gives you a S5 small blast TL shot and 2 S8 AP 3 small blast ignores cover if you stay still, 4 HB shots, with ignores cover, if you move.

... and I'm reminded why this book is hard to work with... 300 points.

its 287 points. - if you dont do anything with the champ. or buy vets.

I would probably just stick with the 5 man units tbh.
i'm just not real impressed with rhinos this edition. the assault changes, dismebark rules, combined with first blood issues. i sometimes field a couple and put a havoc launcher on it just for night fighting purposes. lighting up folks to get blasted is fun.


(btw 10 man squad with Vets of the long war, sonic blasters, 2 blast masters, champ with Lclaw and meltabombs in a rhino /w a havoc launcher - 351 points of sweet sweet excess)
