Charge Distance Hell
If a squad of scoring Necrons is sitting on a Grav Wave Generator, and they have a Seismic Crucible in the squad, which distance reduction is applied first?
And since I know Lore loves himself some maths, if this were to all take place inside difficult terrain, how likely would this be to simply lock a squad out of "charge range" even on short charges.

Re: Charge Distance Hell
It'd be roll charge distance, subtract crucible (as it applies to the "result") then half it due to the grav wave generator.
Average charge distance would be... 2".

Re: Charge Distance Hell
Crucible: At the start of the enemy Assault phase, roll a d3 and nominate an enemy unit. If the nominated unit attempts to assault the Cryptek, of his unit, reduce their assault move by the result of the d3 for that phase.
Grav Wave: Any unit attempting to charge a unit in control of this objective halves its charge range.
The amount that the Crucible does is determined at the start of the phase, but that number doesn't do anything until the charge is attempted. The only thing that comes to mind for their interaction is BEDMAS, which would suggest halving then subtracting.
Edit: ah, "result", that is a key word there, isn't it?

Re: Charge Distance Hell
So its either roll charge range, half that, subtract (avg... 1.5", max 5")
or roll charge range, subtract, half it (avg. 2.5", max 5.5")
If you apply the crucible before the grav wave, its half as effective.
Its super effective either way.
