Mikeb(Rhaevyn)'s Chaos 1 - Mike(Caphammer)'s Grey Knights 0.

An epic battle between two implacable foes. Things started off looking Grim for the forces of chaos. The Grey knights held two of but three total objectives in one corner of the board and looked to be settling in to defend. It would be up to the Forces from the warp to take them away. The Plague father willed that this field be taken, and typhus and his horde meant to make it so.

The long range guns of the chaos heavy support kept the vast majority of the Grey knights pinned down in their holes for the first couple turns, with only the lascannons from a single Land Raider able to return fire. Round three was when the tide began to slide in Chaos' favor , with the Quad Gun getting a lucky penetrating hit and explosion result on the storm raven as it attempted to come onto the field and even the odds. And an obliterator's lascannon finally getting through the thick hull of the land raider. From that point on, lascannons and plasma shots whittled down the elite warriors of the Grey knights until there was nothing left but charred bodies and bits of melted power armour. At the end of turn 4, with only Crowe and a lone squad of purifiers backing into a corner of the board, and Plague marines taking up position on objectives his men died defending, the Grey Knight General threw up the white flag and conceded victory to Typhus and his shambling horde.

After a full 7 turns Brian came took the win 5-1. Congrats Brian! Good luck against Mark!

Nurgle got 7 kill points and frist blood

Chaos Undivided got 8 kill points, warlord, and linebreaker

Nurgle Oblits are definetly better than undivided ones.

Blastmaster was MVP. Slew 2 Rhinos, a Predator, and a number of dudes

Kharn Charged at Typhus mid-game, dealt 4 wounds, 1 was saved. Manreaper finished Typhus off (rolled 1 for daemon weapon). He even survived to end of game Turn 6.

Looks like its Mark vs Adam for the final.

My disappointment with the codex has angered the chaos gods and Adam's enthusiasm has garnered him some favor (that and total victory points available, my 14 to his 8 )

Highlights.

Single blastmaster earned at least 3 victory points.

Typhus killed himself with his manreaper.

Kharne's 5+ save is impenetrable.
