Dragon flyer and chaos terminators

The dragon rumours are starting to sound pretty darn good. 2 butcher cannons and the ability to do vector strikes with str 10.. Awesome. Pricey at 170 points but damn.. 8 str 8 shots. I was starting to like the sounds of the daemonic artillery which has the same guns.. But the dragon just sounds fantastic.

That leads me to the new terminator rumours. You can make them chosen givng them 2 wounds.. But then with icons, marks etc you really make them customizable. Im pretty excited about having some rage fueled khorne terminators.. Woooo boy!

8 strength 8 shots! Yowch! That just may give the vendetta's "bang for your buck" a run for its money. Really, that kills a rhino outright and should take 2 hull points off armour 13 when it shoots.

Yeah.. It sounds pretty crazy. Lightly armoured of course.. But it will chew up other flyers like no ones business.

170 points base cost is alot though.. But.. I definitely want to try one out.

170 effective points. Probably has 3 hull points too. Why does the Storm Talon have to be so shitty?

Customizing terminators does fun!

12/10/10 I heard. Pretty durable for a flyer. My Dakkajet & Burna-Bomma both typically make it through a game.

So, if it can make Vector Strikes, does that make it akin to a flying dread or something?

Just about everything that can take butcher cannons are BS 3.
But the Dragon has strafing run, so BS 4 vs the ground.
I'm crossing my fingers that its AV12 not AV 11. 170 points plus upgrades is too much even for that many shots.

If you take Abbadon.. Chosen are troops choices. And chosen can be upgraded to 2W terminators. So chaos is getting its very own paladin-esque squad.
I hear it gets pricey in a hurry though. marks and icons and combi-spam.

Its two butcher cannons. which are just heavy 4 str 8 ap 4. dont believe they are twin-linked...
pretty sure the 170 points just gets you 2 Reaper auto cannons. Which is 4 str 7 TL shots. @ 36" range.
the butchers are a purchasable upgrade... so 190 points for 4 more shots at +1 str. but loss of Twin-Linkage.

I really want to use terminators for troops.. Im just hoping that taing Abaddon isnt the only way. Im guessing it probably is though.. Hes just always so expensive..

I wish there was a way to get a better invul save besides the mark of tzeentch.. But looking from the rumours there doesnt appear to be. Feel no pain i guess.. But doesnt help against the things terminators fear most.. Vindicators, demolishers, manticores.. Those template ap2 things.

Besides SC. dont let the fluff rule you. if you want khorne Termies with a 4+ invul... rename the MoT to Blessing of the skull throne.

might have an announcement by the 22nd. games day is supposed to bump up the release of the white dwarf.

From what I saw Codex drops 10/6 and the new kits 2 weeks after.

I would like to... But. most of termies all have the worldeater FW torsos.. I wouldnt be able to field them with a different mark. No mark maybe.. thats just me though... Id feel to dirty. I really want to be able to field a khorne style army again.. The last codex made it a bit to hard.

From the sounds of it though they'll have enough options i shouldnt havento worry about it to much. If i can have the mark of khorne and and icon for FNP.. Ill be tickled.

Im really excited by the.daemon engines though for 120 and the two butcher cannon option. I hope they look decent but even if.they dont it should be pretty easy to model something scary.

8 str 8 shots? This heralds the coming of chaos orks. Lootas wont be able to stop themselves from trying to steal one, getting corrupted in the process.
