looking for a tourney crew

Looking for teammates (team tourney)

I'm trying to put together a team for the upcoming tournament Roland is hosting later in the month.

So far I have myself with GK(If I can complete them) or my DW, and John with his IG. Still looking for 2 more peeps. So who wants to join a winning team? Post or PM me

Everyone at the bottom of the list has expressed interest to me either on the board or in person.

As it stands, there are only about 6-7 slots left.

Looking over my list (above) I'm struck that there are 8 ppl left who have said they are interested... and 2 teams (8 spots) left.

I PMed a few people to ask if they'd join forces but they have not replied yet.

That's an easy fix. If t you have more people wanting to play then spots left increase the number of teams! The more the better carnage to be had!

JJ: If everyone who has shown some interest plays we have 6 teams exactly, but that's not the issue. @ 6 teams we are taking up the entire back of the Den, 7-8 teams means either someone plays on a weird table or on a decent one in the parking lot:) I know Termagaunt and Canadin want to play, and DT does provided he's free. If anyone else wants in let me know and I can just devide y'all up myself.

If the den isn't big enough you know what that means?


A hostile take over of one of the dens neighbors! I suggest the Asian food market. Then while we game we can have munchies lol.
When I first started to come up to stoon for tournaments they were held at a church on 8th then in some community center. Is there going to be any of those kind of tournaments again?

Yeah, Adam had to run 7 tables for one of the tourneys (2000 pts?) It worked but it was kinda crowded. I'd rather not do that b/c there will be 4 ppl at each table.

If we're taking over neighbors, I vote Boston Pizza, if for no other reason than to have a few slices and pint mid-game.

Seriously, I think most of the civic centers rent out rooms, and I'm sure there are other options as well. I'd be concerned about turnout. I think Adam's 1000 pt tourney and my team tournament have had the best turnout, and both hit about 16...

Bob Gonda is planning ToonCon for October. It will have some sort of venue like that.

I don't know what "ToonCoon" is, but ToonCon sounds like it going to be a gaming convention with a big miniatures wargaming component with both Warhammers, Warmachine/Hordes, Flames of War among others. Scheduled (as of now) for October 1, 2011.

I'm pretty sure, but not totally, Bob confirmed it for Oct.1 weekend.

Hey SC, that would be damn cool doing something like that. You're right, it would be at a funny time for me, but I'm sure I could make something work. If anything I could be your #2.
