2000 POINT TOURNAMENT, SATURDAY MARCH Banner10

Tournament on Saturday March 19th, 2011
2000 points armies, one army list per player
3 rounds of play, running from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm
10$ entrance fee, great prizes, great fun!
Prizes for top3, best painted, and a door prize

Schedule
10:30-11:00 set up tables
11:00-1:00 round 1
1:00-3:00 round 2
--lunch intermission--
3:30-5:30 round 3
5:30-6:00 give out prizes; clean up; leave

Prizes will be in the form of gift certificates to the den. There will be an entrance fee of 10$. Prizes will depend on how many are attending. Prizes will be for the 3 top ranking players, and best painted army. The best painted army will be determined by a ballot during the lunch break.

Points will be assigned as 3 for a win, 0 for a loss and 1 each for a tie. Players will receive a painting bonus based on how many of their units are painted: 3 points for fully painted army, 2 for greater than half, 1 for less than half, and 0 for unpainted. Players will also mark their opponent's on sportsmanship with a value form 0-3. The average of all 3 numbers will be added to a player's total score.

Rounds will be 2 hours long , with reminders at 30mins left, 15mins left, and 5mins left. When time is called, the game is immediately stopped. The winner is checked, and we move on to the next round as quickly as possible.

All rounds will have a scenario and deployment style rolled out of the regular rulebook. Rounds end when time is called, when a player forfeits, or has no remaining models in play, or when the game ends from random game length. If the game ends in a tie, determine which player has accumulated more victory points, that player wins the round. If the sums of victory points are 200 or less apart, then the game is a tie.

Space is limited, so sign up as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please post here

Cool. Consider me signed up. At 2000 I guess I'd better get painting on my Ultrasmurfs:/

If two players facing one another would like to choose a scenario or deployment style, rather than roll, then I have no trouble with that.

Also, be sure to sign up at the den.

FW models are allowed if and only if they have stats inside of a regular codex. EX: if you want some FW flyers to act as flyers from recent codex's that dont have regular models for them.

So, if regular codex rules exist for the model, then that is fine.
If not, then I would allow you to use your model, but it must 'count as' a legal codex entry. And you must be sure that your opponent knows what your model counts as.
