League Night #1

Well, we sure had a full house night for the first round of recon games. I think some people actually played enough last night to start playing Strategic games next week. I on the other hand, got my butt smoked by Stash with some Guard against Guard action, and then watch Ben's 3 squads of Slaneesh marines take apart my guys.

So, I learned a few things last night. I'm going to switch up the scenarios and how they're listed on the recon chart. Since more people will start playing strategic games here, probably starting next week, the strategic list oir more important so I'll try to get hose up for next week. Im going to move some of the recon scenarios onto that chart and cut the list back for recon scenarios down to maybe 6-7. I'll switch up the order to so the three in the middle arent all chance encounter deployment with two of those having night fight.

I also learnt I have to learn how to play Imperial Guard again. Not that I've ever had overwhelming success with them in the past, but all the tricks and goodies can be deceiving.

You bet.. good game for you last night. Even with you missing alot on your blastmasters against my vehicles, you could not fail an armor save.

With two Chimeras, 2 sentinels, 2 infantry squads and a penal legion squad, I killed 3 guys .. ! 2 of those were from missile launchers which gave him no save..

My favorite moment was when the penal legion troops came in with their assault weapons. They fired their 20 shots doing no wounds.. and then assaulted with their 21 attacks and did no wounds.. I forgot how awesome guard are in hand to hand.
