Callidus Assassin Q and A
After many years from the date codex Assassins was issued, they finally clarified some things with the Calidus:
1) The Neuro shredder is a one handed weapon therefore giving the calidus an extra attack
2) The neuro shredder causes instand death against leadership of 4 or less.
Point #2 comes into play since the new IG Battle Psyker squad can lower a units leadership well beyond 4 durring the shooting phase

Is it really a huge deal? There's about 2 models in the game that have more than 1 wound and don't have eternal warrior...

Well, if it does work like that.. as in reduce the leadeship and then instant kill, I think there are a few things kicking around that might be in trouble. Wraithlords are the first off the top of my head. Alot of the stuff out of old codexes, C'tans, stuff like that.
I know that all synapse Nids are immune to instant death, but I dont believe the carnifexes are. Any lone character could be in trouble.. Chaos lords, Space marines commanders, etc. I mean, it's one of those things that probably won't come up very often, but once in awhile when it does. I know I had definitely thought about using an Inqusitor with regular guard.. I was just exciuted about using Marbo and a Callidus in the same list and watching your opponent sweat. Using the psykers with a Culexus was what most people were scared about.. but with the Callidus.. never though of that!
