Teleporting Daemon Prince Ideas

I am not sure where to post this, so I figured here was the best.

I would like to try to model a Daemon Prince "teleporting/gating" around the battlefield rather then using wings to get 12" of movement.

Right now, I am looking for ideas mainly as I am not sure the best way to go about trying to "show" this on the model/base. I was thinking of trying to model a swirling chaotic mass behind the DP, like he had just stepped out of the warp, but I am not 100% sure how to go about this.

So please, any suggestion? If someone has seen someone model this already I am willing to "steal" ideas

all i can think of is a dimension door effect.

i think it could be done , somewhat simpily.

1) cut a slice off of the prince, the idea is to cut off the peice that will be still comming out of the door.
2) cut a big rectangle p-card piece for the door.
3) glue the demon prince to the door.
4) prety up the door and prince.
5) paint and hope for the best

You could go for the Terminator teleporty look by taking the base, build it up with GS or whatever and press a big ball into it. Get that concave (or is it convex?) look going, add some cracks and stuff if you want. To sell the idea you could have some pieces of terrain on the base (A piece of City fight ruins maybe? continuing the round teleporty ball and then really sell the effect by painting the piece with some OSL from where the ground/scenery is still smokin hot. Maybe?
