Bell of Lost Souls just posted a review of the latest Horus Heresy book, Mechanicum. They've done a really good job with book reviews in the past, and most of them actually end up with a pretty harsh reviews.. the last couple Horus book in particular have taken a beating from them.

However, Graham MacNeil has quickly been gathering an impressive array of titles and according to them, he hit a homerun with the latest installment. I skimmed the review quickly, not wanting to spoil anything. but I did catch the part about lots and lots of titans and knights.. and yes, they gave it a 5 out of 5. Im pretty excited about this one!

I read the first one and thought it was OK. But then I went on a tear and started reading a lot of quality fiction. It's tough to switch gears from Cormac McArthy back to GW stuff. So I went even further down the literature food chain and got heavy duty into comics again.

Robyn you would NOT believe what's going on with Moon Knight....

Anyway the point I am getting at is there's a couple of trade paperback volumes of 40k comics that aren't that bad. There's a Dan Abnett written one about Black Templars, and one not quite as good about Orks. They're put out by BOOM! studios (they also do a cool series called Fall fo Cthullu) and I'd check 'em out if you need another fix for GW fiction.

Ive seen the 40k ones, I think I might even have a pdf of them around here somewhere.

I should go and pick up those Moon Knights. WHen I read the Civic revolution stuff, he was already starting to go bonkers. He had the zombie dude showing up and only he could see him. Everytime he showed up he was also wearing a different outfit.. including showing up in a dreag... it was really, really weird. I think it was some representation of his good buddy Khonsho.. at least it seemed like it since he kept trying to convince Marc Spector to take revenge on everyone.

Next time I'm around a comic store, I'll pick the last few up. Unfortunately, they dont allow comic stores on the west side. Unless they still got them in the Tramps on 1st, Ill have to take a walk over there and see.

Only horrible people live west of the river!

You can borrow mine. One problem! I picked up volume 2 and 3 of the TPB and they were out of volume one (SHould get it this week). So last I left Moon Knight he was NOT crazy and had more power. Start reading volume 2 and he IS crazy, no real power, zombie buddy (WHo I think may actually be Mark Spector, and some other guy is Moon Knight?), and someone STOLE HIS FACE!!!!!! Moon Kinghts face got ripped off!

I won't actually tell you the wierd part though.
