Addendum:

This would also cover Hellbrutes (they need it) and dreadnought special characters (meaning murderface and bjorn would swell to 6 base attacks, since they have two more than the base dread).

That's because they're just better all around. A dreadnought with 6 attacks is just going to be impossible to pin down. Even for the most tarpitty of units.

Not really? Most still hit on 3's correct? So that is what, 4 dead guys a turn. To kill a 30 man unit of termagants it'd take 7.5 rounds of close combat. Seems legit to me. 50 man conscript squad would be 12.5 rounds of combat.

The only ones I'd be worried about is the whole "extra attacks for hits/wounds/kills" models. Those probably shouldn't get more attacks to add to the blender.

Not the FW one, until fw does any kind of errata and FAQ.

GW has that datasheet for a contemptor with 4 base attacks tho!

So would Cassor the Damned get +2 attacks as well? Not that it matters to me because I'm not in the campaign (stupid out of town work) but it'd be fair. I think it was probably just an oversight by GW that they missed him.
