Space wolf- dreadnought faq: IMPORTANT!!

So gw is basically saying: "we hear you, you decide if non-main codex dreads get 4 attacks".

I think we can all agree on implementing this "roused to war" houserule, right?

I agree of course! I'm fine with mortis dreads getting the boost. How do ppl feel about non codex dreads in general? I love dreadnoughts, but they die so quickly I that I think a 2a boost across the board for non codex: space marine dreads is just fine. And hell brutes too for that matter. Chaos needs some love too

The only ones I can't see this extending to is the Contemptors that got a boost from FW already IIRC.

We should add a poll to this post.

I think we should give all non-codex dreads 4 attacks base and wouldn't be against giving it to hellbrutes either. Contemptors I don't think need it.

The new gw contemptor datasheet gives them 4 anyway, for a more limited build, so contemptors def dont need it.

No, only hellbrutes. Chaos dreads and contemptors are FW, and therefore are exempt.

so we're basically saying any dreadnought or equivalent in a codex that was less than 4 attacks base is now going to be 4 attacks base to match the Adeptus Astartes: Codex Space Marines dreadnought profile.

that sounds about right?

I get chaos contemporaries, but what's the reasoning behind Chaos Dreads? They are analogues to Ven Dreads

Fw chaos dreads, or ferrum infernus dreads, already have three base attacks. They have many upgrades, relics and daemonic abilities, that mess with such stats.

The idea of keeping this gw stems (for me) from this being a gw faq.

If we open the doors to adjust fw units too, what about leviathan dreads? Or deredeos?

It also means everyone would take fw rules over the poor, lonely hellbrute.

And we just cant have that.

Now, this is my views for this league. If someone feels this "roused to war" houserule, with our adjustments isnt fair or is not fun, feel free to pm me, but i think this is a perfect time (having such a large group on hand) to try out a little bit of new stuff like house rules.

I have to agree with Paz on this one. As much as I would love my contemptors to be 6a base, the house rule does state all dreads in the codex. Contemptors are not in the space wolf codex, and I'm not really interested in applying the gw FAQ to fw rules.

Looks like gw updated it, and its no longer a house rule but a straight up FAQ fix. Doesn't mention hell brutes, but I think they should still get it

I played against Marshal over the weekend with his 4 attacks dreadnought and he couldn't even kill my Archon in 3 rounds of CC so I don't think we're breaking the game here. Razz
