1000 Points o' Tau (or help me pick my list)

Can't decide which is better of the 2 below. I have an affinity for crisis suits but I always find more bodies on the battlefield is just better. Thoughts?

The first list is the clear winner in terms of firepower and flexibility.

And command benefits, and markerlight output.

But the second one has Farsight. Dat no scatter deep strike.

Deep Strike is generally bad though. Unless you auto come in first turn, or can assault from it generally it means you give up 1+ turns of table presence for not much gain. The only way (in Tau) that I see it being useful is to get a comm relay (need those re-rolls!) and two individual piranhas with homing beacons since they do not have the caveat of having been on the board at the start of the turn so they can outflank first and then you deep strike without scatter next to them.

Even that I think is meh, because you can skip all the farting around and just take the mirror team or w/e and shoot people in the butt.

Retaliation Cadre comes on automatically on turn 2 but you have to reserve everything, which means a whole turn (or 2) with only 16 drones on the board. I like deep striking the plasma suits to get in close but the rest I gave ranged weapons so they can stay on the board turn 1 and kite.

Optimized stealth teams are the butt shooters, and they are pretty fun. I had a team do fairly well against Pascal's skitarii but I haven't had a chance to use it since.
