Thursday night gaming

So Darren has asked that we don't have Thursday as a "league" night. I know i mentioned that we'd have to check with the den first before converging, but can't remember if anyone did. They have thursdays reserved primarily for Warmachine, and if there's an extra table im sure the odd.game won't matter , but the Warmachine guys will have preference for tables that night. So if you're playing and they need the room, they will be able to boot you off.

That being said.. Darren said wed. nights are completely open and he's even toyed with opening late Tuesdays or Saturdays if we wanted and there was enough interest.

Im a wild card here, i never know how the evenings going.to work out so I cant commit, but for the guys wanting a regular time to.play, Darren asked me to pass it on so there's no.future problems.

I know Brian looked into this and made Thursdays as an "unofficial" league night. But the fact that it's stupid busy there on Thursdays has been noticed already. And now Darren is asking us not to - hammer's been swung.

My little itch that needs scratching makes me wonder how those durned magic and card gamers can seem to play there whenever their little hearts desire... not having them back there would in fact free up a lot of extra space... haha

As for Wednesdays... well I can't contribute... Like you Robyn, I am a wild card.. I am wanting to get more active in the leagues, but being a new foster parent is... hard... lol... I've been finding in the last few weeks that in order to do any type of gaming I need to host it at my place in my cramped little living room with the tornado (erm... kid) running around..... But that's a different story..

Wednesdays are fine by me (just not this week).

Yeah i kinda got a "I'm saying it's ok, but it's not ok" on Thursday from the WM guys.

As an aside, can we try and keep our cases on the ground/under the table. Nothing more annoying that 1/4 of the gaming space being taken up with our man-purses.

I'm good for Wednesday and usually Friday though it's not always the best night (with my stacked social calendar and all ). Tuesdays would also work if Darren is willing but Saturdays would probably be a no go. They are precious to me.

I'm ok for Wednesdays as well, its not the preffered night but we will have to make due for now (plus i think it tends to be quieter wednesdays).

I agree with Ian about saturdays though that's not a very good day to have a games night/afternoon.

Id like know how wednesdays work for everyone (or dont) and which days are best for them. We will likely decide based of general consensus.

For me, a weekday choice doesn't matter, cause I work during his store hours and would never be able to play during the week. Saturday is my only free day for me to participate in our angry man-child conquests of expensive plastic and resin.

On a tangent, I scored a nice oak table for free this weekend cause one of our neighbours can't figure out what a socket wrench is, or how they work. So I can start having occasional games at my place.

Again, Wednesdays are a-ok by me.

Perhaps a secondary day on Sat or Sunday for the ppl qhoncant make it Wednesday?

That might be feasible, would be nice to have a "secondary day" to help those like Mike who have important commitments during the week. We will see how many are left out in the cold my having it on wednesday night!

So tomorrow is Wednesday! i hope to see you guys there! And we will try out Wednesday as the new night for 40k and if it needs changing (ie is only working for a small portion of us) then we will see to that!

I'm not prepared to play tonight (Jordan and I scheduled for Thursday at my place) but I might stop by between the gym and baking a cake.

I think Wednesdays could work for me, no late classes for school that day (thursdays will be totally out of the question come skewl, classes thursday night!)

tuesday really would work best for me, if darren ends up opening later that day
