Hey guys quick question for you regarding tournament play at the den, having never played there myself. Modelwise is it WYSIWYG or can little things slide? Just finishing up a sternguard squad and wondering if its worth magnetizing the next Kit and using up some bitz.

Generally during tournament play people prefer WYSIWYG. How one person defines something small and another does can be hard to judge.

For non-competitive games we are super laid back.

Here's the breakdown. If you have a squad modeled with combi-plasma, and you tell me they're combi-melta...

1) In a regular game. I'll be cool with that, if I forget, my bad.

2) In a tournament, if I forget, and re-assume they're combi-plasma, I'll be super pissed.

Pretty much what LW said.

I've seen tourneys where if you have something that isn't WYSIWYG, the offending model is removed (so you are basically playing at a slight disadvantage).

For what its worth, I have a squad of DA Vets that I am fully magnetizing at the wrist. There is no way I'd pay $70 for a Sternguard box and not use every bit in it.

Depending on the model it is actually really easy to use magnets for swapping options.

The two hardest parts are finding the correct size of magnet and locating the best spot to set them. The second becomes important especially if you want to drill them into place to make them less obvious.
