Next primarch is...

looks like mortarion is the next primarch coming out in the store. they sent a teaser in the last forgeworld update email.

haha, didn't think it was worth it. Lets see, in the grand scheme, how Dorn compares to Kurze.

Kurze vs Dorn= K almost strangles him, escapes
Kurze vs Corax= messes him right up, saving the first heretic primarch in the process
Kurze vs Lion pt 1= almost kills him, only saved by corswain lending a hand.
Kurve vs Lion, Guilleman, Vulkan= evil batman strikes again, messes up Ultra's home city by hisself.

Thats why we need a Night haunter model. He is just the most badass primarch.

Who was the Emporer's most trusted servant, given the honor of not only being his praetorian(s) and honor guard, but establishing the defenses around Terra.

Dorn might not be the most powerful individual primarch, but clearly the most badass.  

Night Haunter is cool though. I really wish for all the traitor primarch that they would do two sculpts. One pre-heresy and one post-heresy.

Didnt Dorn also die to regular marines and heretics? all they found of his desecrated corpse was his hand?   

All hassling aside, I hope we get a helmetless Kurze, I wanna see his filed teeth and maniacal glare.

I dont want to see any primarch with a helmet. a batman cowl maybe... but no helmets.

Horus had to lower the shields because the defenses held long enough for their reinforcements to get there (because dumbo Guileman was busy trying to build his own empire the turd face).   

He supposedly died more or less stopping one of the Black Crusades. All they found was his armor and two primarch sized skeleton hands.   

All the primarch sculpts have been amazing so far (minus lorgar, but screw that dude) . I am also really excited to see Sanguinius. I bet that model will look amazing.

Is your source lexicanum? I had never heard that fluff before, but turns out the new horus heresy art-book lays it out like this (like the wolves, ultras and angels would all show up at the same time), that the shield lowering was a gambit to face teh emprah... thats a dumb retcon. Its been left as a mystery in previous fluff, some books suggesting it was Horus' own innate need to lose (Thanos style) that led to him lowering the shields, and killing Sanguinius so his father could finally stop the monster he had become. And nothing about returning fleets...

To be honest I'm not sure. I have selective memory syndrome when it comes to 40k fluff. Some of it is so badly written I just pretend it doesn't exist

Hmm.. weird. That paint job is a bit of a mess as well. But.. yeah, not as strong as the.others. I picture him much more thin, tall and gaunt.

the whole flow of that sculpt is off. Awkward armor, pose, and the loin cloth is hanging still while the cape flaps behind him, huh? The armor is so... atrocious.

I will admit the horrible paintjob is ruining it as well, so it might get a touch better in resin...

WHERE'S HIS GAS COLLAR? his face is supposed to be partially hidden behind his gas mask thinger. they made it a thin collar instead... while keeping Blanche's retarded chainscythe...

The pose is a lot like typhus's

i'm not a huge fan of these guys in general. i just find that any amount of paint i put on them isn't going to live up to the fluff, they should almost be pre-painted.

Like. if i purchase Angron and paint up his armour brown and purple there's gonna be some folks that want to pop me in the nose.
