From what I've read Jesse has it right. You can double primary the same army but each has to be its own detachment. This is according to Frontline Gaming though.

Most of this can be fixed by making the primary detachment Dark Harvest and bringing the troops in line with the restrictions.

You must be able to do it; every book is BB with itself. You gotta be able to do it. If you can't, then nids would be boned .

Nids are ALWAYS boned! but it does effect detachments for them.
