Whoever told you this lied. Rhino's are dead in 6th... everything else is quite healthy.

Just the whole Hull point thing..
Sure, if you aren't glanced to death your mech stays up a bit longer (no stun lock shenanigans). But its so easy to strip hull points :S

But then... 10 DREADNOUGHTSSSSSSS
May have to borrow dreads from people to test this list out, lol.

What you lose in resiliency (which isn't as much as you'd think) you gain, quite amazingly, in consistency.

This is why Jy2's tournament winning Necron Army features 3 Annihilation Barges.

So the secret to keeping walkers alive in 6th is taking 10 of them?
With a 20 blob of frenzied hooligans to back them up?

Ive been playing with 2 landraiders regularly and its very rare they both get destroyed. They are very tough.. its not hard to get 25% cover.. and if your unsure about your chances you can take an aegis line for 50.

Killing 1-2 vehicles is very different than killing 6+ of them. Look at Mark's wall of AV13 necron list. It doesn't look scary, but on the table not many lists can deal with that much high value AV.

I will admit things in the 10-12 range suffer more, but even then. Unless your opponent gets lucky rolls its still not easy.

Its a bit of quantity/quality. My preds and dread are resilient the first few turns, until the rhinos and rbacks are taken care of, then torrent fire tends to strip them down. Necron works because it's all AV 13, I'd imagine Guard/chimeras are decent as well. As of right now, there is no reason to take a rhino if you can take a pod.

Only 3 of the dreads in this list are AV13. The other 7 are AV12/12/10... tho, the 4 DC dreads have "None shall stay my wrath" which immunes them to shaken and stun... because that happens lots... heh. But they make up for it with Rage (+2 At on charge) and fleet... so *shrug*

I say try it, it a fair bit more resilient than you think.

I actually would like to. But unless I borrow Dreads from people, I wont be able to. Need 7 more LOL.
I would contemplate buying some more, but I have this feeling that this type of dreadnought list won't be doable come the new codex, so we will see after that.
