since your red there is an ink instead of a paint.  inks dont behave the same as paints traditionally do when mixed with other colors because they dont use a medium filled with color pigment.

all that mumbo jumbo still doesn't explain how blue and red make green.
All my primary school training says your supposed to get some shade of purple outta that mix.

Cause it's an ink, the pigment isn't saturated and it goes green. Take a blue mini and put a red GW wash on it to see what I mean

Depending how the paint is formulated (especially since it is an ink) doesn't necessarily mean the standard color wheel will apply is what Mike S. is saying.

It is the same reason I found that yellow paint can be very tricky. The pigments used to make a "true" yellow for hobby painting is very expensive. So what places like GW paints do is play with the pigments and formula for the paint to get as close as possible as cheaply as possible.

At least that is what someone told me. Could be a load of hogwash for all I know, but made sense at the time.
