Kill Teams

On the 21st day, GW gave us updated kill team rules. Anyone take a look to see how they hold up?

Looks interesting. 1-2 troop, 0-1 elite and 0-1 fast all models act on their lonesome. No 2+ saves, more than 3w models, 33 front side rear armor combined armor, and some army rules don't work (champions of chaos, reanimate on protocols require another model within 2" to get up, and demonic instability for example). 3 models are vets an can pick a rule from one of 5 tables (each table can be used only once) and one model is nominated as the commander who rolls on a comman trait chart (warlord table and like the warlord tables some are terrible and some are awesome).i would post more specifics but out ATM.

Kill team's pretty interesting. 200 pts, 3 specialists which get one special rule each. 6 missions. Would make for a great 6 - 7 round event at the den. 4x4 playing surface....

Nothing with a 2+ save. Nothing with combined armour (F+S+R) of over 33. ... + other rules I can't remember off the top of my head. 0-1 elites, 0-2 troops, 0-1 fast attack? Pick one dude to be your leader, he gets a special ability thingy too...

Why do I suddenly have visions of running a Deathmark squad as the entirety of my list for this? Reminds me of a Dark Heresy session I ran...

Heh, I hit the sniper in my black crusade game with a death mark. He was a bit rattled.

I had squads of them roaming a rogue trader ship with attached stormteks ravaging the ships engines while in orbit, trying to crash it into the hive world below.

I have a copy of the new rules and its very interesting Smile

I'de be willing to give it a go if anyone wants. i imagine games would be fairly quick too. without HQ and only 200 points.

I had a setup for something like this. For a roughly 7hrs they suggested 6 games.

I, of all ppl, would require fully painted (three colors, based). And I'd expect a lot more than that on avg.
