The speacial rule says cover saves can not be taken by WOUNDS caused

So does this mean vehicles still get cover saves ?

RAW, yes, but most everyone (BAO, LVO, Nova, Adepticon, etc...) has been playing it that vehicles don't get cover from ignores cover.
