sicaran battle tank

managed to find out what its super autocannon does. its called a Accelerator Autocannon, and its much like the normal ones, except its a heavy 6 weapon with rending, and it denies jink saves from being taken against its shots.

the tank is 135pts and its FA 13, SA/RA 12

Compared to certain other 135 point autocannon options, that somehow seems a bit on the cheap, with higher volume of fire, anti-jink (ignores cover?), and more durable body. Is there skyfire, interceptor, and/or twin linked on this beast?

the wargear section describes the gun as twin-linked, but the gun's detail description doesn't list it. assuming this means it might pop up as a non-twinlinked variant on another unit down the line. no skyfire or interceptor on it either.

doesn't ignore cover altogether though; just has a special rule that states jink saves, specifically, cannot be taken against the gun.

6 shots with no skyfire means one should hit. Glances a Dakka Jet on 3, Nightscythe on 4 with no saves allowed, Heldrake on 5 with it's 5++ and IWND. Maybe this isn't so much an AA beast as a skimmer/biker killer, as that volume of fire combined with no jink saves, it would krump either of those pretty solid.

I was really interested in getting one, chaos's answer to not getting a rifleman dread.

And also.. it looks great.

But.. if i was to pay the cash for it.. the fire raptor is only a bit more and pretty damn awesome for what it was does.

I think if you are going to get one FW model for chaos, the fire raptor would be the ticket as well.
