I believe it works off true line of site so if your model can see anything on the opposing model that's no smaller than it's head, you can ARO. If your model has something blocking it's head but not it's feet it would have to go prone to see the opposing model.

So looking over the contents of the starter boxes they seem to have a bit of leeway with how things are geared. Otherwise it doesn't look like the boxes are equal points costs. Or am I crazy?

None of the starters are equal in points. Like black reach or vengeance were close, but not equal. I generally stay away from starters, if its sectorial you are handicapping yourself, if its an original starter the figs are not as nice.

So with em ammunition (in this case using em grenade as example) when a model is hit do you first do an arm roll vs the str of the grenade followed by the bts to resist the em effect or do you just do the bts roll?

Just the BTS roll as E/M grenades only affect E/M vulnerable equipment. If the E/M effect was part of a ballistic weapon then you would have to roll both.

With camo and TO camo when do you have the penalty for getting shot at? Is it just when your not revealed or is it always?
Some wordings are throwing me off...

I've got a bunch of figs on order at the Den too.
Jesse and I have played maybe 5, or 6 games now. I gotta tell you I like this game a lot. Always feels like you are doing something, even when it isnt your turn (Because of the ARO). Plus, strategy is sick, pretty much every game I've played, it always *seems* like there is a clear winner by 2nd or 3rd turn, but then WHAM the game changes face. Its crazy.

IIRC, when you're camouflaged they need to make a discover role in order to do anything to you. If you have TO camo it's a -6 modifier to the opposing players WIP regular camo is a -3. After you are discovered they can then shoot at you normally. Although you still have the -3 or -6 to BS to shoot them as well, again, depending on the camo.

Ian and I finally got a game in the other day, it's been way too long, I forgot how fun this game is.
Things we noticed coming back-
1. Deployment is so important. If you leave a flank unprotected, you can get ganked pretty bad 1st turn.
My hungries caused no small amount of pain for Ian's aleph by outflanking his left side, and chain rifling a mermydon and Phoenix to death before Eudoros could pop em (hungry pretas are stupid fast, and can really ruin your day if you let em get close).
Tags are really powerful. I don't think either of us has found a good counter for them yet, in the few games we've ran em.
3. I need to re-read my rules, I forget important details a lot :p

Are people available at all this weekend to maybe have some demo games at the Den? M 250 demo list isn't fully painted yet but it's been waiting to get used for a long time.
