Cutting Pewter

Anyone have any tips for working with pewter? I grabbed a little Cryx guy I wanted for the head, but it seems rather attached to the torso.

Depending exactly how much pewter you need to get through, really your best options are a good set of side cutters and/or a dremel. Removing parts of a pewter figure can be pretty brutal sometimes. A picture might help.

[Edit] Ohhhhh, you want to remove the head without destroying it? That makes things more interesting.

the old how to paint space marines book from 4th/5th edition has the best tutorial for that. its the old blue book.

By the sounds of things, my best best might be making an Instant Mold cast, and cutting the Green Stuff duplicate.
