1500 CSM Empty 1500 CSM

So, I like CSM. even before the new codex. this is the list that I have currently at 1500pts. I am looking at expanding to 1750 with the newer figs. but I also like close cbt and i single worship theme. tell me what you think. I thin k the list would be super fun to play

A few things...

Things I like about your list:
-- Terminators with Mixed Power Weapons. This has always appealed to me. Every once in a while, I'll take my fisty unit for "Too many points" and then I'm all like, "Some Mauls would be nice".
-- I like Predators, 3 las cannons come in handy. I like keeping them cheap too. (dakka pred?)
-- Kharn, he's a beat machine.
-- Obliterators (take 2 though, missing sux)

Things I'm "meh" on
-- Zerkers on Foot.
-- Hellbrute (pro's: cheap, cons: doesn't do anything all that well)

Things that I'm not a fan of
-- Zerker's in a rhino. You can't assault out of Rhino's. The only time things in a Rhino are good is MSU guys and the rhino has a combi-something and a havoc launcher (it's like a poor-mans razorback then)
-- Chosen: I've not seen an effective build for a chosen unit... they're just too expensive. You're paying 215 points for a unit of 6 guys with 3+ armour. Chosen are about as useful as Anne Frank's drum kit.

Things I'd buy
-- Khorne Lord on a Juggy is a fearsome beat machine. Pair him up with some raptors or spawn or something else quick to deliver him into combat. Spawn are quite good at this, but I imagine Raptors would fit the bill too (at 95 points)
-- A Land Raider. Kharn and his buddies can assault out of a land-raider, but you gotta keep the unit down to 10 models total (so 9 'zerkers) I'd toss in the flag so you can re-roll charge if you need to.

Mostly what mark said. No point in rhinos on CC units. Just buy 2/3 more dudes and weather the storm.

Juggernaut lord might distract long enough for kharne to run across the table. Bikes or spawn are probably better than raptors for similar points.

AC/LC preds are cheap and effective. No point in paying 35 points to trade 2 autocannon shots for one lascannon. Twin linked or no.

One obliterator units are surprisingly good. at least you don't have to worry about them running

I played a bunch of games with a Jugg lord with spawn help and a Nurgle Lord, with a unit of berserkers and a unit of plague marines. I mainly take the zerkers so I feel like Im using his special power and the plague marine becasue they are great. Every one does decent, except for the zerkers. They just seem to be having a hard time hitting in assault..

If you got Kharne, yes, the berserkers are awesome off the charge, almost too awesome. By themselves .. without the init buff for furious charge.. yeah they can kill some guys on the first round, but still take all those attacks back.. then are jammed into combat with their 2 attacks at str 4 and tend to just get whittled away. Ive been using them out of a land raider as well with a dirge caster and still doesnt help that much.

Kharne with zerkers in a raider though is great and expensive but that raider becomes a scary target.

I havent been abloe to use the zerkers in a rhino to any benefit.. they just get shot up before they get anywhere.

10 bloodletters are 100 points, champ is 5 and you can give him a lesser gift for 10 points. Extra bloodletters are 10 points.

Herald on jugg with a greater and lesser gift is 155 points ( i think, going.from memory today.. forgot my flash stick.at home)

Lesser gift will give you an ap2 weapon.. greater will give you something.awesome.
