I'm glad I bought the grenade launcher for the black knights when I did

But I'm not buying anything else from them or this game anymore.

Call me crazy but I think this won't effect much. I know warstore owns BWB. I also know they are different companies and BWB setup was moved to Nevada from NY. Warstore is a partner. Sells to BWB at cost. Bwb is not a partner store and is free to bust up boxes.

I really don't see why this is a huge deal. It will either not change anything since as Roland pointed out stores are already set up to work around this or you might see a change in prices on eBay to reflect more scarcity. In either event how much is this going to affect? The odd purchase of a couple of combi-weapons?

It doesn't stop all of the second hand stores from selling close mock ups. So instead of people buying gw bits they will just go to anvil industries or whatever.

This.

The part I don't get is why they view companies such as warstore (that sell GW product at a discount), bwb (that open boxes and sell the components) and even chapterhouse (that sells conversion kits to stuff they don't make) as a threat. The common factor in all 3 of the above is GW GETS PAID.

Driving people to get bits from China or anvil industries or mantic or puppets war.... Hmmmm GW gets NO MONEY there...

Basically they can't see the forest for the trees...

GW has their heads so far up their arse they can see light from their throat.
I'm just tired of the bullying and BS from them.

If you're tired of it, that's your right.

I'd just say never attribute to maliciousness what can be more properly attributed to stupidity.

MWG is closing their online store in response to GW's trade agreement. Matthew (who is a very smart guy) goes into detail as to what the new trade agreement actually does.....

No selling outside your country. Doesn't hurt Canadian stores at all, hurt US retailer like Warstore. No biggee.

No opening bitz. Minor really. There are a million ways around this. No biggee.

Capping "Direct Only" Items (which includes nearly all metal/finecast, almost 1800 items) to $500/month in orders........

Woah woah woah.

Matthew notes they were doing in excess of $5000/month in direct only orders, and I'm willing to bet the Den sells more than $500/month.

That one is huge. It basically turns every FLGS into a plastic/battleforce/high sellers only store. And if you want need that HQ/Finecast model.... Order direct from GW.

I can't see this going over well with ANY retailer.

I usually feel that GW is taking reasonable actions that are necessary to survive. This time and the event with the 'Death From Above' update have me feeling that they are acting out of line.

i watched that video.

This is one of the worst decisions I've ever heard of from a successful company. I understand that they want to make as much margin as possible from their products. and cutting FLGS's out of the mail order business seems like a good way to do that...

But this is a social game. its played with other people, Mostly at FLGS. and if those FLGS can't make a profit or carry all the products, then there wont be a place to play ... and hence no sales at all.

its just stupid greed.
