Maledictions and Mastery Level >=2

Hey,

If I've got a malediction power with a 24" range, and that malediction can stack, can I cast it multiple times on the same unit?

If a Slaanesh sorcerer is lvl 3, can it cast it's malediction on a unit 3 times, increasing the strength of Sonic Weapons on that unit by 3?

a psyker cannot manifest the same power more than once each turn, even if his first attempt is unsuccessful. pg 67 BYB.

lame. The only way to stack that power would be to have more than one Slaanesh marked sorcerer, which'd mean your noise marines aren't troops...

ugh.

There's a powerful list to be had here... but I'm having trouble figuring it out. S5 Sonic Blaster, S9 Blast Master (or S6 Assault 2), and a S6 doom siren are all attractive concepts.

if your trying to hard to make a combo list work, its probably too much trouble.

yet another reason why i say there wasn't enough thought put into this codex. HQ is too full. way over-bloated. almost have to start playing 2000 points every game so you can actually use the toys.

the other thing is, you cant guarantee your going to get that spell, even with a lv 3 sorc, you can only get 2 slannesh powers. I went through the same thing with a nurgle list, as i think weapon virus is the silent killer tech. but i wouldn't take a lv 3 nurgle sorc for the other two powers on the list(although they aren't horrible). and you need a Nurgle lord to make your plague marines scoring. so you only get one chance at the spell you want.

A lvl 1 Psyker would be the way to go, as you can't get the Mastery lvl 2 power and would be forced to re-roll. That makes your Sorc 75 pts, 80 with Melta Bombs.

It's worth a shot... big blob of 20 noise marines... scoring, with the sorcerer in the unit. A whole lotta tasty.

The bonus is that the Primaris power is pretty good. as far as that goes.
its dmg is pretty Meh, but it forces a lot of checks and can mess with a unit pretty bad with blind, concuss, pinning, etc.
