So I just realized this guy has potential. 5 attacks base for 110pts with 2+ armor. Toss him mark of khorne and he hits things almost as hard as Kharn for 120pts.

Yes I noticed that myself, 7 attacks on the charge for Khornate Warpsmith

Sadly he would be hitting on 4+ (WS4) and at init 1, (Power Axe) and only S5

Compared to Kharn 2+ re-roll, init 5, S7

But its still MUCH scarier than a techmarine or anything like that

Just got the chaos dex today, but from a cursory glance I am not disappointed, but that might change once I actually give it a good read

I know for sure some games are going to be a pain and some are going to be ridiculous.. If you dont mind a bit of randomness it'll be fun.

Last night was fully on my side in terms of most everything.

Mission was scouring.. And i had a helldrake and a big unit of bikes for fast attack. I also rolled masterof deceit for my warlord and was able to outflank the bikes with my beefy khorne lord.

The first boon my lord rolled was cosmic fate.. Re roll failed armour saves... Ugly!

The book is "a-ok' with some cheatery.
You can infiltrate D3 infantry units with that warlord trait, which is fine if you can point me to the bike supply drop special triat/option/rule for me

Alright... the warp smith.

He sux.

Here's why. His abilities are "meh", he's over 100 points with no upgrades, he doesn't enhance your list (by making cult units scoring).

A lvl1 Tzeench Sorcerer with Dark Aura is 90 points and makes Thousand Sons Troops.

A Lord with Mark of Nurgle,Slaanesh, or Khorne, a Power Weapon, a 4++ save and some other kit will come in at ~ 130 points and open up Noise Marines, Plague Marines, or 'Zerkers. He's fearless too.

hes got BS5. a melta gun and a flamer, makes any marine vehicle with an assault cannon slightly upset and is just about the perfect person to stand next to the quad gun.

now if only he was an elites choice.. and you could have 1-3. you might seem him hit the table over any of the HQ's mark listed Sad

Off-topic. was in edmonton on the weekend. I saw a nurgle termy lord on foot with a black mace decimate large swaths of a tyranid army. swaths.... 3 inches is a long way at the end of the fight phase when all those crawlies pile in...
