yeah. chaos Dreads are all in some form of insanity due to not being put to sleep between battles. they worded it so that you could still use your old dreadnought models to represent. the still pristine ones just havent started to mutate... yet.

guess they all have robocop syndrome eh. Why cant anyone just enjoy the fact that they've been made into unstoppable giant killer warmachines of destruction? you gotta know they get all the free wifi they want.

it does make one believe that gw thought they were losing too much money on dreadnought sales though. You could always convert the AoBR dread to chaos, but there is no way the hellbrute is going to fly in your space wolves...

Cultists points avail. 40 pnts for ten guys inc champ. 3 points per extra guy up to 30 dudes. Squad can have an icon.

so with these being starter sets for people to get in the game... how is chaos supposed to beat the marines? that statline for the chosen is kinda... meh?

chaos is supposed to lose.

that being said. you don't use all of the marines in every scenario. the box comes with a bunch of mini-games where you take this unit or those units and you need to accomplish XYZ to win.

your right though. the amount of plasma on the field and the terminators in general just make the chaos players job almost impossible. Which i guess is the point.

The last 2 missions use all the models in the box.

The DA force is 840 per the current codex, but it includes none of their rules and the statlines are for C:SM. As a C:SM force they are 765.

The Chaos Force is harder to pin-point as it is obviously per the new codex (Special rules for the Lord, hellbrute, Cultists)
If the points are close its about 413 + cultist= about 513 points.

This is quite a bit worse than AoBR (590/465) and there isn't a unit in the CSM force the Termies can't handle.
