Tempted... to get moar Orks!

The Internets are talking about the 30 strong Nobless Shoota Boy unit.

30 shoota boyz with 3 big shootas.

Seems like a good unit. What do people think about that? Would be good for tarpitting things, would average 21 hits of shooting within 18", 10ish hits on Overwatch if charged, and could potentially tarpit anything in the game (as long as it's not T7 or AV10)

I would take that unit every game. probably 2. Fairly cheap, sits on objective. Takes up space. snapfire for them is half as effective as their normal shooting.

You saw how resilient my 10 man CSM squads were. Troops are the new elites with so many objective based missions.

It looks like the new basic naked csm is going to be pretty appealing as well.. Cheaper than they are now.

Aren't they going back to 14 pts?

We'll have to see how much the marks and icons coat.. But sounds like you can make some neat combos. I think having naked guys might be the best though.

from the rumors, i dont think they will be much different than they are now. Aside from a LD drop to 8 from 9. (which accounts for the points decrease ) options will remain largely the same.

I'm just keeping fingers crossed that bp/cc/bolter continues and isnt a paying option.

I thought the marks were basically the same but they were going to have a bunch of different icons you can buy for units.

Feel no pain, rage, fleet.. Etc. .. Which can be bought along with marks.. It just makes them really expensive.

The example that he listed was you could buy a mark of nurgle and a feel no pain icon for basic marines.. But it was cheaper to just buy plague marines.

But.. If i can buy terminators with a mok and rage.. Thatll make me pretty happy

How many points is a 30 mob of orks? 180 eh? i guess the only problem is if it gets tarpitted by a cheaper option, i.e a wraithlord bare bones, dread barebones, heck! even a warwalker! (now that would be funny Av 10 all sides and with dual shuriken cannons is only 40 points)
